This Wednesday morning WSOY radio host Brian Byers caught Wayne Kent off guard and went on to really bad mouth the Christians who supported Trump, stating that Biden is more Christian than Trump. What most Christians and churches have not communicated well is the concept of a Christian worldview, what I refer to in my book as a “WORDview.”
This is the last page of my book, and I really believe it is the answer to what ails our country. People are hurting because we are not helping them mature. Byers does a great job helping our schools meet some of their basic needs, but I don’t believe we will solve the problem unless we focus on building the home on Biblical principles and winning what I refer to as the “generational relay race.”
Byers recently did some interviews on mental health. I believe that some of our mental health concerns arise because we are looking at the wrong owner’s manual. It is hard to understand the struggles of life if you don’t understand the big picture: that life is preparation for eternity and that God has a plan.
The Democrats’ worldview believes they need to separate sex, marriage and babies. Christians (and Trump) are far from perfect on this topic, but when you make abortion such an easy process, it goes against this basic Christian principle that sex, marriage and babies are connected. Democrats beat up on Jim Dobson and Focus on the Family twenty years ago when he pointed out that gay marriage was going to lead us to what we are seeing in society today. Byers once criticized me on social media for asking if gay marriage would lead to the acceptance of transgenderism.
Politicians are great at naming things. Who wouldn’t support something called “the Equality Act?” That is, until you realize it makes having a WORDview illegal and punishes those people and institutions who do. In an effort to make all religions and lifestyles equally valid, we label Christians as the hate group and the problem.
We must stop our schools from requiring our teacher-friends to teach humanism. In our effort to keep this supposed law that church and state must be separate, we have accepted the religion that says we can be good without God. How can you be educated about life without understanding the Provider of that life? Not that long ago, Time Magazine said Jesus was the most famous person in history, yet history classes today do not teach about him or at least not in a proper context.
Black lives matter! However, the BLM organization is teaching cultural Marxism and critical theory. They are teaching kids that they are victims of a racist country. Yes, white men have many sins that we need forgiveness for. Yes, police need to do better. My approach even agrees that men are the problem, but my book, Just Call Me Dad, offers a solution to the problem rather than just trying to punish men for past mistakes. We are not going to really help our Black friends who are struggling unless we address the fatherlessness issue, gangs and an acceptance of the thirteen principles in my book, including forgiveness. This all plays out in a society that thinks it is going to fix things by banning Dr. Suess without addressing what the lyrics of some Rap music are teaching. We lift up LeBron James as the model without putting Ben Carson on the same pedestal. We never reach the dream of judging someone by the content of their character when we keep focusing on everyone’s skin color.
When I wrote my book five years ago, I never really thought of it as a political book. I don’t know if Trump understands that it is not about how good he is. In Christianity, the line is clear: We are all sinners who need to accept the grace of a Savior to get to Heaven. I pray that Joe Biden and Brian Byers know that. Regardless, Trump’s political policies allowed and were more consistent with a WORDview. President Biden’s policies are NOT.
